Grower Notes:
Hydrangea macrophylla 'Ragra' is commonly referred to as Cityline® Rio Hydrangea. This Proven Winners® Color Choice® selection is noted for its early blooming and compact habit. This beauty has large mophead flowers that range in color from pinkish-purple to a strong bright blue, depending on soil pH. The addition of aluminum sulfate to the soil will encourage blue flower color.
Cityline® Rio has long lasting color and excellent mildew resistance. It thrives in partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist soils. It makes a great addition to mixed borders, containers and for cut flowers.
